We want our youth to know and treasure Christ, and we want to obey the biblical command to baptize those who put their faith in him. If your child has expressed interest in baptism or you’d like to learn more to help discern your child’s readiness, please plan to join us for our Youth Baptism Class on Sunday, February 1st. At least one parent and their interested youth should attend. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP below!

This class is designed to cover the basics of what baptism is and how the gospel impacts our decision to be baptized in obedience to Jesus as professing Christians. We will go over questions to ask, resources to use, and a process to help assess your child’s current understanding of the gospel and the genuineness of their faith in Jesus to save them.

Our goal in covering these fundamental truths is to help the youth better understand what it means to be baptized, more thoughtfully assess whether they have truly made this faith their own, and more confidently discern if they are ready to take the next step of publicly professing that faith. In doing so, we hope to gain deeper insight into our youth’s faith journey so that we may disciple them in Christ more intentionally.

Whether this process results in your child being baptized or choosing to wait, we rejoice with you in the work the Lord has already begun in their life and are eager to continue pursuing Christ together.
